Armed robbery, Hervey Bay
Police are investigating an armed robbery incident that occurred this evening in Urangan at Hervey Bay (September 4).
Initial investigations indicate about 8.45pm, a man and a woman who were walking along Buccaneer Drive were approached by two men who had just exited a small white vehicle that pulled up next to them.
Both men produced knives and demanded the man’s wallet.
One of the men struck the man in the face causing him to fall to the ground. The man handed over his wallet with the two men then fleeing the scene in the vehicle.
The man received minor injuries to his face.
The woman was uninjured during the incident.
The two men are described as being in their twenties, one with tanned skin and both wearing hoodies.
Investigations are continuing.
