Attempted robbery, Annerley

Police are investigating after the attempted stealing of a car in Annerley this morning.

At around 8:20am a 62-year-old man disturbed another man attempting to steal his car in the car park of an aged care facility.

After a brief struggle the man succeeded in stealing only a set of car keys before fleeing the scene in a black sedan, which was being driven by a woman.

The black sedan was last seen travelling west on Cronin Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his early 20s.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around Cronin Street or Annerley Road this morning after 8am is urged to contact police.
