Borderless policing never tasted so good!!
Today, Runaway Bay Police Station had a surprise visit from the local Goodstart Learning Centre in Labrador who dropped off goodies for police to enjoy.
It is always such a pleasure to have young children greet police with smiles on their faces genuinely wanting to learn about all aspects of policing.
It is always amusing to hear their little voices pipe up and ask questions like ‘Have you shot anyone?’ or ‘Can I be tasered?’ or ‘How many baddies have you locked up?’
This is the crucial time for children to have positive interactions with police to create a sense of trust and security. It is also a very important time for police to remember the reason why they put their lives on the line each and every day and also a time to enjoy the innocence of life and to take time to just enjoy the moment.
