Armed robbery, Edmonton: Investigations are underway into an armed robbery incident that occurred at a Mount Peter Road convenience store yesterday morning.
A man armed with a machete entered the store at around 11:15am and made demands for money from a woman working in the store.
She complied with the demands and the offender then fled the store on foot with a sum of money. He was last seen running along Mount Peter Road towards Graham Street.
The store employee was not physically injured as a result of the incident.
The offender is described as being a Caucasian male with an olive complexion and brown hair. He was around 180cm tall and of thin build.

Property charges, Cairns: A 17-year-old Manoora man was charged yesterday following investigations into a number of property related offences.
Cairns Property Crime Squad officers located and arrested the man at a Manoora address just after 8:30am yesterday.
He was charged with four counts of burglary, two counts each of attempted burglary and entering premises and stealing, and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The man is expected to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on September 5.
The charges relate to offences allegedly committed at Mount Sheridan, Manoora and Kanimbla between May and July this year.
Fraud charge, Cairns: Detectives charged a 35-year-old Cairns man yesterday following a fraud related investigation.
It will be alleged the man stole a credit card from a female work colleague and used it to purchase goods from a CBD supermarket on eight occasions between July 15 and 21.
He was located and arrested in the Cairns CBD at 3:30pm yesterday and was subsequently charged with one count each of stealing and fraud.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later this morning.
Man charged over dump thefts, Smithfield: Police from Smithfield charged a 31-year-old man yesterday as part of ongoing investigations into recent thefts from a Smithfield waste transfer station.
It will be alleged the man unlawfully entered the Dunne Road facility on a number of occasions during July and stole items including a mower and power tools.
Detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s Smithfield residence yesterday and he was taken into custody. He was charged with entering premises and stealing, as well as possession of a drug utensil.
The man is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court next month.
