Property offences, Edmonton and Bentley Park: Police are investigating two break and enter offences that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning at two separate bottle shops in South Cairns.
At about 3:40am, a Walker Road bottle shop front in Edmonton was rammed by a stolen vehicle which caused damage to the front windows of the store. It is believed the offenders were unsuccessful in their attempts to gain entry to the business.
Around 4.48am, a Robert Road bottle shop in Bentley Park was rammed by another stolen vehicle which caused significant damage to the front door and structure of the business.
Access was gained by three offenders, and an unknown quantity of liquor was stolen.
Police are investigating the link between the two incidents and other property offences.
Both vehicles used have been recovered and will undergo forensic examination.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in identifying the offenders or anyone that may have been in the areas at the time that could assist with investigations to contact Edmonton CIB or Crime Stoppers.

Police were called to a disturbance at an Apalech Street residence at around 6.15pm where the boy had allegedly assaulted another male with a metal bicycle rim and partially ripped off a screen door at the residence.
Police were attempting to speak to a family member when the boy allegedly struck the male sergeant in the face.
The boy was arrested and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage and serious assault of a police officer causing bodily harm.
The officer required medical treatment for a broken nose and laceration to his lip.

It will be alleged the man broke into a Malanda address sometime Thursday night, where a number of property items were stolen as well as a vehicle.
Officers located the stolen vehicle at a Murray Street address yesterday morning and parked their police vehicle in the driveway of the address, behind the stolen vehicle.
It will further be alleged the man entered the stolen vehicle and attempted to reverse out of the driveway, subsequently running into the front of the parked police vehicle, causing damage to both vehicles.
The man was unable to leave in the vehicle and police eventually restrained him, after he allegedly resisted arrest.
The man was conveyed to the Cairns Watch House and will appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court this morning.
