Assault charges, Cardwell: A 49-year-old Cardwell woman was charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm and drunk and disorderly.

It will be alleged the woman has become involved in a verbal altercation with a 34-year-old woman, when she has struck the woman to the side of her face.

She is scheduled to appear at the Tully Magistrates Court on November 9.

Drugs located, Goondi Bend: Police located a 24-year-old Innisfail man lying on the seat of his parked vehicle on Leichhardt Street, Goondi Bend around 1pm October 22.

While speaking with the driver officers conducted a search of the vehicle.

Officer will allege they located a quantity of cannabis.

The man will be dealt with by way of drug diversion for unlawfully possessing a dangerous drug.

Drink driver, Innisfail: Police charged a 49-year-old Etty Bay woman with one count of drink driving on Saturday night.

The woman was intercepted on River Avenue at around 10pm on Saturday night for driving at night without headlights on and subsquently provided a roadside breath test.

She returned a positive result and was transported to Innisfail Police Station for further testing.

It will be alleged she returned a reading of 0.0137 percent BAC.

Her licence was suspended and she is scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on October 30.

Charges, Innisfail: Three youths and one adult have been charge with a number of offences including the allege theft of a car from an Innisfail address.

Police will allege the offenders have gained entry to a Seymour Street property during the night of October 21 and stole a number of personal items including keys to a vehicle. The offenders also attempted to gain entry to a Nelson Street address.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with one count each of enter premises and commit indictable offence, attempted enter dwelling, burglary and commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and obstruct police.

The other 15-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and obstruct police.

The vehicle was located in Edmonton and the three boys and man were located later in the morning.

The 18-year-old is scheduled to appear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on November 7.
