Police have charged a 72-year-old Bentley Park man with one count each of possess child exploitation material, use carriage service to access child exploitation material and use a carriage service to make child exploitation material.

Police executed a search warrant at a home in Bentley Park in the early hours of yesterday morning where it will be alleged that a forensic examination of the man’s computer located child exploitation images.

Police seized a number of computer towers and hard drives and the man is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 20.
