Child hit by a ute, Kirwan

A child has been hit by a ute in Kirwan.

Just before 12.20pm, the four-year-old boy was leaving a ten pin bowling alley on High Range Drive with his family when it appears he walked into the path of a ute in the car park.

First aid was immediately administered to the child before being transported to the Townsville Hospital.

It is believed the child is in a critical condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
