Choices on the road again
The award winning pre Schoolies education project hits the road this week visiting soon to be school leavers in Mackay, Townsville and Rockhampton.
The project funded by Whitsunday Regional Council is in its 18th year and is designed and written by Central Queensland University students in partnership with Mackay Crime Prevention Unit. Choices covers many areas including the Fatal 5, Party Safe, Assault Free Zone and the registration process at Airlie Beach Schoolies. Important topics of discussion are presented in a contemporary way through television shows.
The CQU students volunteer for two weeks, now that they have finished their university year, to keep the next generation of school leavers safe. We thank them for their time and efforts. All lot of organisation and time is put into keeping young people safe at Airlie Beach by the Whitsunday Regional Council.
