Community day out at the Teddy Bears Picnic, Moranbah
On Saturday August 19, Quota International of Moranbah held their annual Teddy Bears Picnic. The event was well attended by the tight knit community of Moranbah, with a large number of children in attendance with mums and dads.
Along with Queensland Ambulance Service Officers and Moranbah Fire and Emergency Service Officers, the event was a great opportunity to showcase the emergency service vehicles to local children who had a blast getting a first hand look.
The day was an excellent way to build relationships with members of the community and ensure that local children see police officers as a friendly face that they can turn to. It was also an opportunity to engage with the children’s parents in a relaxed environment with some parents having more questions than their children.
Moranbah Police would like to thank Quota International of Moranbah for organising the event and would also like to thank the community of Moranbah for attending to ensure the event was a huge success with a great day had by all.
