Dangerous operation charge, Drayton
A man has been charged after being caught by the Toowoomba Road Policing Unit allegedly sitting on a rolled up mattress in a car with no front seats on Monday.
It will be alleged around 4.10pm on September 4 police intercepted the vehicle on Brisbane Street at Drayton.
The male driver admitted to having been recently disqualified from driving.
Upon further examination of the vehicle the officer noticed that the driver and his female passenger were sitting on rolled up foam mattresses, with the front seats missing altogether.
The car was impounded and the 30-year-old Harristown man charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving of a vehicle without a licence.
He is due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on October 16.
