Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle – officer injured, Morningside
Police are investigating a dangerous operation of a motor vehicle incident that occurred yesterday evening at Morningside which resulted in the injury to a police officer.
At about 10.30pm at the intersection of Wynnum and Junction roads, police attempted to intercept an allegedly stolen white Audi wagon using a tyre deflation device.
It will be further alleged the driver of the vehicle changed lanes and drove towards one of the police officers, hitting the officer before colliding with a power pole.
The officer sustained serious injuries to his leg and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital from treatment.
A 29-year-old Redcliffe man, a 29-year-old Margate man and a 25-year-old Deception Bay man have been arrested in relation to this matter.
Investigations are continuing.
