Deprivation of liberty, Waterford West
Detectives are investigating a deprivation of liberty and serious assault incident that is alleged to have occurred at Waterford West between October 23 and October 25.
It will be alleged that on October 23 a 19-year-old woman was threatened at another location and then was driven to an address at Clearview Street, Waterford West.
At that location, it is further alleged the woman was held against her will and seriously assaulted by the 40-year-old female occupant of the house over a period of three days.
On October 25 at about 10.55pm, police attended the Clearview Street address and located both women.
The 19-year-old woman received significant injuries as a result of the incident and was transported to Hospital for treatment.
The 40-year-old Waterford West woman has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, torture and fail to appear in accordance with an undertaking. The woman will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrate Court later today.
Investigations are continuing.
