Fatal traffic crash, Wengenville
Two men have died after a single vehicle crash at Wengenville this afternoon.
Police and emergency services were called to Maidenwell Bunya Mountains Road shortly after 2pm following reports of a single vehicle crash.
On arrival, two men were located deceased inside a green Ford Falcon sedan.
Preliminary investigations suggest the sedan was travelling west along Maidenwell Bunya Mountains Road when it has failed to negotiate a bend in the road, left the roadway, and crashed into a tree.
The driver of the vehicle, a 53-year-old man, and the sole passenger, a 42-year-old man, died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information in relation to the crash or to anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
