Forensic Crash Unit take road safety to Southern Cross Catholic College

Acting Sergeant Gemma Williamson from the Forensic Crash Unit was invited to the Southern Cross Catholic College today to speak to students from year 7 to year 10 on the role of the Forensic Crash unit.

The students were educated about the role of a Forensic Crash investigator, what investigators look for at traffic incidents and the main causes of traffic incidents.

Students asked lots of questions about the role of the police and the types of crashes that are investigated.

Students were able to talk about the Fatal Five and how to prevent traffic incidents.

This event was held as part of Queensland Road Safety Week, which is a week dedicated to highlighting the importance of speaking up for road safety.
