Anti theft screws

Volunteer in Policing Tony Wilk exchanging the screws on a vehicle

On Saturday September 23 between 9am and 1pm, police and volunteers will be at the BP Elanora conducting a ‘One Way Screws’ event where vehicle registration plate screws are exchanged for anti-theft screws.

This is a free service provided to the public however donations are accepted for the PCYC and the CHAMP Program.

The Braking the Cycle vehicle will also be there and some information about the program.  Motorists are encouraged to come along and take advantage of the service which saves the trouble of having to get new plates if they are stolen.

It is frequently the case they are used in traffic and criminal offences such as petrol drive offs and burglaries.
