Juvenile arrest follows Glenella attempted burglary
Mackay police have arrested a 14-year-old girl following a report of an alleged attempted burglary in Glenella yesterday morning.
Following the alleged unsuccessful attempt to gain entry into the Wrights Road home in Glenella at 8:30 am on October 18, police patrolled the area extensively believing the persons responsible were driving a recently reported stolen car. The car and the occupants were not located.
After police completed initial investigations into this incident the 14-year-old girl was found and has been charged with unlawfully using a motor vehicle, attempted entry into a dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence, entering premises and committing an indictable offence, burglary and committing an indictable offence, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
She will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
