Lucky stars, Moranbah
Good luck was all that stood between a Moranbah resident and a nasty traffic crash.
Between 4:30 pm on September 1 and 4:10 am on September 2 someone has approached a parked Toyota Hilux in the driveway of a residential address on Burke Drive in Moranbah. All 6 wheel nuts were removed from the rear passenger side tyre.
At 4:10 am on September 2 the car owner drove the vehicle from their home and was travelling along the Moranbah Access Road when steering became unresponsive and the car began to sway. The car was able to be stopped safely and the issue with the rear passenger wheel was identified. The driver was appreciative of their good fortune.
