Don’t forget to pay for your fuel
Police would like to remind people fuelling up at the local petrol station not to forget to pay for your fuel.

This year there have been a number of reported ‘petrol drive offs’ where people are being reported for ‘stealing’ fuel.

If you don’t pay for your fuel your vehicle is recorded on CCTV footage and then the details are entered onto the Police Service database as being wanted for questioning in relation to stealing fuel.

This can result in a lot of embarrassment for the people concerned when Police turn up on your door step then to find out that it is an honest mistake.

This also stretches police resources following up on these types of totally avoidable incidents.
