Murder mystery at Moranbah East Primary School, swiftly solved by Moranbah Police

Moranbah Police received an unusual call to assist Year Five/Six at Moranbah East Primary School in solving a murder mystery from the weekend.  It is alleged that at 100am on Sunday August 20, a body was found in the Moranbah East Primary School Library.  The victim had been struck to the head with a book.

Moranbah Police quickly identified the main suspect in this matter as Mr Cafferky the Moranbah East Primary School Principal. Having carried out a thorough and exhaustive investigation into this heinous crime, Moranbah Police officers Constable Dale McIntyre and Senior Constable Adam Dyer attended at Moranbah East Primary School to arrest the main suspect and conduct a media briefing with the Year Five/Six journalists.

The class were tasked with writing a newspaper report on the murder for assessment. The officers were being grilled by the assembled journalists about the murder,  when the main culprit Mr Cafferky entered the classroom and was promptly arrested.

Thankfully none of this was for real, and as the photograph shows Mr Cafferky was released to carry on his working day.  Moranbah police were delighted to role play the scenario at the request of Year Five/Six teacher Tracey Batchelor to assist the class with a report writing assessment.

There are definitely some budding Journalists in Year Five/Six and Moranbah Police are looking forward to reading the newspaper articles from today’s scenario, no doubt praising the police for how quickly they solved the mystery.
