New interactive whiteboard technology at Kirwan Police Station

New interactive whiteboard technology at Kirwan Police Station

Constable Ben Wilson from Kirwan Station has been successful in obtaining a grant to purchase a smart board for the Kirwan Police Station. This is the first time that this technology has been able to be accessed by general duties officers.

The interactive whiteboard will be used for police operational planning purposes and critical incident responses.

Constable Ben Wilson says that the smart board will be able to be used to plan, prepare and execute operations.

“The board has already been used for planning for drug operations and traffic management for special events,” Constable Wilson said.

“All staff at Kirwan Station will receive training in the use of the smart-board and are looking forward to embracing this innovative technology.”

Other local stations are already in the process of applying for the same technology with the aim that it will accessible to all general duties stations in Townsville District.
