Patron given 1 year ban from Moranbah Licensed premises
On Saturday 12th August 2017 at approximately 11:45 pm police from Moranbah were called to assist security staff at a licensed premise in Moranbah. Police attended immediately and observed a female patron who had been refused entry to the premise and was allegedly threatening security staff there and refusing to leave the premise.
Police will further allege that when they spoke with the woman, she again refused to leave the premise and became abusive and aggressive towards police. The female was arrested by police and has received fines for failing to leave a licensed premise, obstruct police and committing a public nuisance in the vicinity of a licensed premise.
At the time of the incident the female was issued with an initial ten day police banning notice from the licensed premise in which this incident occurred.
Moranbah Police sought and received authorisation to extend the banning notice. The female has now received a police banning notice for three months from the licensed premise concerned.
On 15th August 2017 The Moranbah Liquor Accord met with Moranbah Police. The Moranbah Liquor Accord is a meeting of the licensees and managers from Licensed premises in Moranbah, Moranbah Police and liquor licensing officers from Mackay.
