Paws on Patrol in Oonoonba
On Sunday, District Crime Prevention officers, Neighbourhood Watch and QPS recruits enjoyed a fun day at Wes Barrett Park, Oonoonba.
Members of the community were encouraged to attend with their pet to receive a green dog tag especially engraved with the pets name and contact number of the owner in case the dog became lost.
Information was given to the pet owners in relation to being safe whilst walking their pet, to be aware of the surroundings and to change the route regularly. Advice was given that these members of the community become the eyes and ears for the police and were encouraged to report any suspicious behaviour.
Dogs of all sizes and breeds attended this special day in the park. The dogs not only received there very own name tag for free, but they were given a lovely little treat being a healthy yummy dog biscuit.
