Police officer stood down – Far North District
A 50-year-old constable from the Far North District has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service and will be tasked to perform non-operational duties.
The officer has been issued with a Notice to Appear before the Mareeba Magistrates Court for off duty conduct concerning alleged offences against the Weapons Act 1990 and Explosives Regulation 2003.
In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
