Residents woken by burglars in Horse-shoe Bay, Bowen
Residents at a home on Horse-Shoe Bay Road in Bowen were woken at 1:25 am this morning by the noises of two intruders (a male and female) inside their bedroom.
One of the residents has given chase on foot to the intruders who ran out of the house in the direction of Queens Beach. They were not captured by the resident or Bowen police who were contacted.
The burglars gained entry into the home by forcing a locked sliding door. They appear to have searched the lounge room and the main bedroom. Once inside, bank cards, identification cards, a purse and an unknown brand mobile phone were stolen.
