Robbery with violence, South Brisbane
Detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at South Brisbane yesterday evening (October 28).
Initial investigations indicate at about 10.20pm, two young women walking along Russell Street have been approached by a group containing two women and two men.
The two young women were assaulted and pulled to the ground by the women prior to having a handbag taken from them.
Another man who witnessed the incident attempted to intervene to stop the assault. He was then assaulted by one of the men from the group causing him fall to the ground.
The two young women and the man attended the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
