Serious assault, Nerang
Police are investigating a serious assault incident that occurred at a park on Cayuga Street in Nerang this afternoon
During the incident, a 51-year-old man and a 46-year-old man became involved in a physical altercation.
During the altercation, the 51-year-old man was struck a number of times which resulted in him falling to the ground and hitting his head.
He has been transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
A 46-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
