Serious traffic crash, Ayr
Police are investigating a serious traffic crash which occurred in Ayr this afternoon.
Preliminary investigations indicate at about 3.30pm, a vehicle travelling on Kilrie Road collided with an 8-year-old child on the roadway.
The child was airlifted to Townsville Hospital with serious injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
