Serious traffic crash, Coen
Police are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred around midday today near Coen (September 2).
Initial information suggests at about 12.18pm on the Peninsula Development Road, 30km north of Coen, a male motorcycle rider was located unconscious on the road by other members in his group.
The man was transported to the Coen Medical Clinic in a critical condition and will be transported to Townsville Hospital this afternoon.
No other persons were injured during the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit are over-viewing the investigation.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have observed the group of four motorcycle riders around the time of the incident to contact police.
