Serious traffic crash, north of Yaamba

Police are investigating a serious, single vehicle traffic crash which occurred this morning near Yaamba.

Initial information suggests about 5.30am, a sedan being driven by a 22-year-old man and carrying a 20-year-old woman and 3-year-old child was travelling north of the Bruce Highway 25 kilometres north of Yaamba.

The vehicle veered off the road and into an empty creek bed before rolling.

The woman received multiple fractures and possible internal injuries while the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The child received minor injuries.

They were airlifted to hospital for treatment. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
