Serious traffic incident, Mount Stuart
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious traffic incident in Mount Stuart early this morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 2:20am a utility was driving along Mount Stuart Road when a 17-year-old boy who was a passenger in the tray of the vehicle was ejected.
Emergency services attended and the 17-year-old was transported to Townsville Hospital with critical head injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
