Show and tell! Dad’s Day in the Valley – Mirani, Pioneer Valley

The Pioneer Valley Classic Car Club hosted their annual Fathers Day ‘Dad’s Day in the Valley’ Car Show in Mirani on Sunday the 3rd of September. The event is unique in that the main street of Mirani is closed to traffic for the day to allow for the event to take place.

Approximately 5,500 people attended the event and were treated to a great day of sunshine, shiny classic cars, yummy food and awesome entertainment.

The Queensland Police Service were also there, displaying a few of our vehicles that we us to keep the community safe.

Plenty of Dads, Mums and kids of all ages checked our cars, bikes and boats and spoke with us about our vehicles and how we go about doing what we do.

Senior Sergeant Richard Turner of the Mackay Road Policing Unit was on hand to answer plenty of questions, and there was no doubt that the Highway Patrol car and the unmarked Suzuki Hayabusa were crowd favourites and sparked plenty of interest.

Many thanks to the Pioneer Valley Classic Car Club for the use of some of your photos, and congratulations to the members for another fantastic show! We are looking forward to next year, and we promise to bring out some more toys out for show and tell.
