Speeding motorist, Ayr
At 7.25am on Thursday August 31, police from the Ayr Road Policing Unit were conducting patrols along Ayr Dalbeg Road, Airville when it will be alleged a vehicle was detected travelling at a speed of 147kph in a 100kph zone.
This vehicle was then intercepted and as a result the driver, a 40-year-old Townsville man, was issued a NTA for drink driving at allegedly almost twice the legal limt, .090 per cent BAC. He is due to appear in Ayr Magistrates Court on September 20.
