Drink driving, Tablelands: Police have charged an Edmonton man twice after two separate traffic intercepts on the Tablelands on Thursday morning.
It will be alleged police intercepted the 52-year-old man at about 7am on Hansen Road, Walkamin, and when required to provide a roadside breath test, he returned a positive reading of 0.076 per cent BAC.
The man was issued with a 24 hour immediate driver license suspension.
It will further be alleged that he was again intercepted at about 8:20am on the Kennedy Highway, Mareeba and returned another positive reading of 0.048 per cent.
He is expected to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 25, charged with two counts of drink driving and one count of driving whilst suspended.
Drug possession, Kuranda: Police have charged two men after executing a search warrant in Kuranda on Thursday morning.
Police executed a search warrant at an address on Greenhills Road, Kuranda at about 8:40am and detained three men.
It will be alleged that a 44-year-old Kuranda man and an 18-year-old Mareeba man were located with approximately 35 grams of Cannabis as well as drug utensils.
Both men have been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possessing a drug utensil and are scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 25.
Drink driving, Mareeba: Police have charged a local woman after a traffic intercept in Mareeba on Thursday evening.
It will be alleged police intercepted the 20-year-old woman at about 8:50pm on Joyce Street, Mareeba and when required to provide a roadside breath test, she returned a positive reading of 0.119 per cent BAC.
She is expected to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 11, charged with one count each of drink driving and driving whilst suspended.
