Traffic crash, Mareeba: Police were called to a traffic crash at the intersection of Byrne Street and Rankine Street Mareeba yesterday at about 6pm.
Police allege the 17-year-old driver of a utility collided with a cyclist as he exited the roundabout.
The cyclist, a 9-year-old boy sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment from members of the QAS.
The boys bike was badly damaged.
The driver was charged with one count of driving without due care and is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 25.
Contravene police banning notice, Ravenshoe: A 22-year-old Ravenshoe man was charged yesterday with one count of failing to leave a licensed premises.
It will be alleged the man was banned from a hotel in Grigg Street, Ravenshoe, however entered the hotel at about 4:45pm yesterday.
The man was asked to leave, however refused to do so and police were called.
He’s scheduled to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on September 19.
Drug charges, Georgetown: Local police executed a search warrant at a home in Short Street, Georgetown at about 2pm yesterday.
Police allege a 40-year-old woman was found in possession of a quantity of methylamphetamine and a glass pipe.
She was charged with one count each of possessing a dangerous drug and possessing a utensil before being issued with a notice to appear in the Georgetown Magistrates Court on December 13.
