Drink driving, Mareeba: Police have charged a local man after he was intercepted near Mareeba on Wednesday morning.
It will be alleged police intercepted the 19-year-old P1 driver at about 10:30am on Mareeba Dimbulah Road for a roadside breath test, and when required to provide a breath test returned a positive reading of 0.043 per cent BAC.
He is expected to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 18, charged with one count of drink driving.
Unregistered and uninsured, Atherton: A Tolga man has learnt the hard way after he was intercepted in Atherton on Wednesday afternoon.
It will be alleged police intercepted the 25-year-old man at about 5:30pm on Tinaroo Falls Dam Road and the vehicle he was driving was unregistered and uninsured.
He was issued with two Traffic Infringement Notices for being uninsured and unregistered, totalling $706.
Drug possession, Mareeba: Police have charged a local woman after a search warrant was executed in Mareeba on Wednesday afternoon.
Police executed a search warrant at an address on James Street Mareeba at about 2:45pm and it will be alleged the 34-year-old female resident was located with a syringe containing what will be alleged is Methylamphetamine.
The woman was charged with one count each of possessing a dangerous drugs and failing to dispose of a syringe and is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court later today.
