High-end speeding, Biboohra: Police have charged a 30-year-old man following a traffic interception on Wednesday afternoon on the Mulligan Highway at Biboohra.

It will be alleged the Cairns man was detected travelling at 143km in a 100km zone at about 2.55pm.

The man was issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for $1177.

Stealing, Biboohra: Police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen from a property on the Mulligan Highway Biboohra yesterday.

Initial investigations suggest that unknown people have entered the property at about 2.45pm Wednesday before removing the red Toyota Landcruiser.

Assault police, Mareeba: Police have charged a Mareeba woman after an incident in Mareeba on Thursday morning.

It will be alleged Police attended an address on Starcke Street at about 2am in relation to another matter and when detaining a 19-year-old woman she started resisting arrest and stuck out kicking an officer in the leg.

The woman is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 9, charged with two counts of obstruct/assault police.
