Burglary, Ravenshoe: A house in Herbert Street, Ravenshoe was broken into on Thursday August 24. It appears the offender has entered by removing a security screen from a window and climbing through.
Once inside the house a quantity of jewellery and the keys to a car were stolen. The keys were then used to steal a white Mitsubishi Colt Queensland registration 755 TQD.
The residents were at home at the time of the offence.
Burglary, Mareeba: On Saturday August 26 a number of tents situated at a caravan park at Egan Street, Mareeba were entered and an amount of property was stolen.
Property stolen included a mobile phone, footwear, backpacks and wallets.
Unlawful entries, Atherton: Over the weekend the Atherton State School and Atherton High Schools were both entered. Entry was gained to a number of buildings through smashed windows. A number of fire extinguishers were removed and sprayed throughout the rooms.
Members of the community are reminded to remain vigilant to the security of schools afterhours.
The Atherton Scouts Hut and the Girl Guides Hut situated on Robert Street, Atherton were also targeted over the weekend. Entry was gained to the Scout Hut by forcing a locked window and a number of fire extinguishers set off within the building.
An attempt to force a door at the Girl Guide Hut was unsuccessful.
Drug Drivers, Tablelands: Over the weekend seven motorists were intercepted throughout the Tablelands area who allegedly returned positive drug tests.
These motorists now face the prospect of a trip to court and a loss of their licence.
Obviously the message is still not getting through. If you are going to take drugs and then drive a motor vehicle expect to be caught.
Police are actively targeting this fatal five offence and sooner or later you will either get caught or worse still be involved in a crash that may not only affect your live but the life of innocent people.
