Break and enter, Kuranda: Police are investigating after six break and enters in Kuranda on Saturday evening.

Initial investigations suggest that unknown people have entered six different businesses on Coondoo and Therwine Streets sometime between Saturday 6.30pm and Sunday morning 7am causing damage to buildings. A number of items were stolen including money from donation tins.

Drink driving, Ravenshoe: Police have charged an interstate tourist after a traffic incident in Ravenshoe on Sunday morning.

It will be alleged that Police intercepted the 24-year-old woman on Kuradilla Street at about 1am and when required to provide a roadside breath test, she returned a reading of 0.175 per cent.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Atherton Magistrates Court on a later date, charged with one count of drink driving.

Fare evasion, Mareeba: Police have charged a local woman after an incident in Mareeba on Sunday evening.

It will be alleged that the 24-year-old woman has hailed a taxi in Cairns and after the driver dropped her at an address on Peters Street Mareeba at about 8.55pm, she has refused to pay the fare.

The woman is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 16, charged with one count of fare evasion.
