Several months ago I received a phone call from a lovely member of our community who wanted to drop some trauma teddies into the Cairns Police Station.
We gratefully accepted the generous offer and the lovely Caryl set to knitting. Recently Carol dropped of two large bags of hand-made teddies she had been making since our phone call.

The teddies were delivered to the Child Protection Unit and the Inquiries Office to be handed out to kids subjected to emotional, physical and domestic violence abuse.
Thank you so much Caryl for the time you took make the teddies. They will, without a doubt be put to good use and will bring some comfort to children attending the police station.
