Graffiti and Drug charges, Cranbrook: Townsville Police have charged a man with wilful damage and drug offences after he was intercepted driving a vehicle in Cranbrook last night.
At about 5pm, Townsville police were advised by a member of the public that a man was spray painting a building on Brampton Avenue in Cranbrook.
Police located the man who was later pulled over in the vehicle he was travelling in.
A search of this vehicle allegedly located spray cans, a large sum of cash, drugs and other drug paraphernalia.
A 19-year-old Townsville man was charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected of being proceeds of an offence under the drugs misuse act, possessing a drug utensil, two counts of possessing property suspected of been used in connection with a drug offence, wilful damage, possessing graffiti instruments and two counts of contravening a direction or requirement.
Police have objected to his bail and he is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates court later today.
Drink Driver, Kirwan: A woman has been charged following a vehicle intercept on Kittyhawk Crescent in Kirwan overnight.
Police will allege the female driver recorded a positive roadside breath test and was transported to the Kirwan police station for further testing, where she recorded a positive blood alcohol concentration of 0.120%.
A 26-year-old female has been issued a notice to appear for drink driving and unlicensed driving and is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 20.
