Attempted stealing, North Ward
A woman has been charged with attempted stealing yesterday afternoon at about 4pm.
Police will allege that the woman was confronted by a security officer in the self service area of a grocery store in North Ward. The woman has allegedly failed to scan some items in her trolley.
A 26-year-old North Ward woman has been charged with attempted stealing and is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 28.
Possess drugs and possess knife, Wulguru
A woman has been charged with drug and weapons offences last night at about 11pm.
Police have been patrolling University Drive when they have intercepted a woman riding a pushbike without a helmet. Police conducted a search and located a quantity of cannabis, $1395 cash, electric scales, clipseal bags and three knives in her backpack.
A 39-year-old woman has been charged with one count of possession of a dangerous drug, possess knife in a public place and rider of bicycle fail to wear helmet and she is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 27.
Investigations are continuing.
