Drink driving charge, Deeragun

A man has been charged following a vehicle intercept on Bruce Highway, Deeragun overnight.

Police will allege the male driver recorded a positive roadside breath test and was transported to the Deeragun Police Station for further testing, where he recorded a positive blood alcohol concentration of 0.189 per cent.

A 49-year-old man has been issued a notice to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on August 30.

Drug possess and unlawful possession of a weapon, Pimlico

A man has been charged with drug and weapons offences yesterday afternoon.

Police conducted a search warrant at Kitchener Road, Pimlico where, it will be alleged, they located a number of drug utensils and home made knuckle dusters.

A 51-year-old Pimlico man has been charged with one count each of possession of a utensil, possess property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 1.
