Multiple property offences, Townsville
Police charged seven youths yesterday in relation to a number of vehicles allegedly stolen from Mount Louisa and Hyde park between August 10 and 13.
It will be alleged the vehicles were driven from Townsville to Charters Towers.
A Holden Captiva was allegedly abandoned by a group of youths near the Murray Sporting complex at Annandale yesterday morning after police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on the Flinders Highway.
A 15-year-old North Ward girl has been charged with three counts of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old Aitkenvale girl has been charged with two counts of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of alleged stealing, one count of alleged obstruction and alleged breach of bail.
A 15-year-old Mundingburra boy has been charged with one count of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 14-year-old Mundingburra boy has been charged with one count of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 15-year-old Kelso boy has been charged with two counts of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of alleged obstruct police.
A 16-year-old Queenton boy has been charged with one count of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 15-year-old Annandale boy has been charged with one count of alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of alleged obstruct police.
Injured officer, Wulguru
Stuart Police were called to an address in Culgoa Street, Wulguru on Friday August 11 in relation to a disturbance.
When officers arrived around 12.30pm and exited their vehicle, a large dog jumped the fence and latched onto the thigh of a male officer.
Police were forced to deploy capsicum spray as a result. The male officer sustained a large laceration requiring four stitches.
Townsville City Council have seized the dog.
