Drug offences, Belgian Gardens
Police have charged two men with drug offences after a traffic intercept on Bishop Street on Friday morning, August 25.
Police will allege that a search of the vehicle located a quantity of methylamphetamine, electric scales, a knife and $3285 cash.
A 31-year-old Wulguru man has been charged with one count of possess property suspected of being the proceeds of a drug offence, possess knife in a public place, unlicensed driving and two counts of possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.
A 27-year-old Surfers Paradise man has been charged with one count of possess dangerous drug and possess property suspected of been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.
Both men will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 20.
Serious Assault Police, Charters Towers
Police have charged a woman with multiple offences after attending an address on Selheim Street, Charters Towers on Friday evening, August 25.
It will be alleged that at around 6pm, police attended in relation to reports of a female and male having a loud verbal argument.
Police arrested a woman and when placing her in the rear of the police vehicle, she has kicked out at officers hitting a male officer in the thigh and the female officer on her right hand. A female officer has received an injury to her right index finger. The male officer did not sustain any injuries.
A 50-year-old Richmond Hill woman has been charged with two counts of serious assault police and one count each of public nuisance, assault police and contravene domestic violence order.
She has been remanded in custody till September 4.
