Motor vehicle stealing, Deeragun
Police have charged a man with unlawful possession of a motor vehicle following an altercation at an address in Summerland Drive, Deeragun yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged at 11.15am, a 27-year-old Gulliver man was located at the Deeragun residence with a stolen red Toyota Landcruiser.
It will be further alleged the man was also wanted on a return to prison warrant and subsequently arrested and taken to the Townsville Watchhouse.
The man was charged with unlawful possession of a motor vehicle and obstruct police.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in Townsville Magistrates Court later today.
Police also charged a 34-year-old woman with possession of drug utensils.
Stealing, South Townsville
At around 3:30am this morning police from Townsville located a 35-year-old man allegedly causing damage to and stealing from vehicles parked along Palmers Street, South Townsville.
The Townsville man was arrested and during a pat down search police will allege they located a knife in the pocket of his pants.
The man was remanded in custody and will appear in Townsville Magistrates Court later today charged with possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of stealing from a motor vehicle.
