Drug offences, Idalia

Police have charged a man with drug offences after a traffic intercept on Racecourse Road, Idalia overnight.

At about midnight police will allege that a pat down search of the driver located approximately 16g of methylamphetamine in clipseal bags secreted in a container in his underwear.  A search of the vehicle also located two mobile phones and a radar detector.

A 40-year-old Millchester man has been charged with one count each of possess dangerous drug, possess anything used in the commission of crime and use radar detectors.  He will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
