Traffic crash, Burpengary

A woman is assisting police following a traffic crash that occurred in Burpengary this afternoon.

Officers were patrolling in Burpengary when they observed a vehicle reported stolen from Inala on Old Gympie Road.

Officers have commenced a pursuit and followed the vehicle along Old Gympie Road, Progress Road and onto Station Road.

The pursuit was terminated and the stolen vehicle allegedly continued at speed and collided with another car further down Station Road, causing it to flip on its side.

The male driver of the car was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital and is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.

The female driver of the vehicle that was allegedly stolen was taken into custody at the scene.

Investigations are continuing.
