Unit fire – Labrador

Police are investigating a fire that caused substantial damage to a unit at Labrador overnight.

Around 11pm a fire broke out in the Government Road unit. There were four people in the residence at the time who managed to exit the unit.

Emergency services extinguished the fire but the unit sustained substantial damage.

A 49-year-old woman sustained burns to her face and smoke inhalation and two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were taken to hospital for observation.

Investigations are continuing into the cause of the fire.
