Update 2: Missing woman, Port Douglas
Police in Port Douglas are continuing to search for a 71-year-old woman last seen on August 9.
Police believe Lipping Zhou left a home on Murphy Street at Port Douglas on Wednesday, with the last confirmed sighting of her around 10pm that night.
Since the QPS launched the initial missing person appeal, several members of the public have come forward with information that suggests Ms Zhou may be walking around on her own.
There was an unconfirmed sighting of her at Craven Close in Port Douglas.
Extensive land, water and aerial searches were conducted yesterday, however she was not located.
A search comprising of 30 State Emergency Service volunteers and two land vehicles has been ongoing all day today.
Concerns are held for her welfare as she has a medical condition.
She is described as being Asian in appearance, of a slim build, around 140 centimetres tall with short black hair.
It is believed she is wearing dark pants, a dark top and carrying a large multi-coloured handbag.
Anyone that may have seen her is being urged to contact police.
